The news of a Dirty Dancing TV remake has me slightly torn

Whilst it may not be money saving, this is huge news for women (and men!) around the world!

Set in the summer of 1963, Dirty Dancing is the most amazing love story of all time about 17-year-old Baby, originally played by Jennifer Grey, who falls for her dance instructor, Johnny Castle – played by Patrick Swayze.

I am a HUGE fan of Dirty Dancing and I can’t wait to see the remake, however, the thought of Dirty Dancing without Patrick Swayze makes me extremely sad – surely it won’t be anywhere near as good?

ABC are making a 3 hour musical show on TV to recapture the film we all know and love.

There was a sequel to Dirty Dancing in 2004 called ‘Dirty Dancing – Havana Nights’ which flopped – lets hope this is more popular.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to this or should they leave the classic well alone?
