With the weather heating up and summer now in full swing, here are some outfit ideas to keep it cool.
Jeans and A Nice Top
You can’t go wrong with a classic look, and jeans and a nice top is THE classic look. It’s simple, it’s easy to style up or dressed down, and it suits everyone. In the summer denim can be a tough choice, but these ripped mom fit jeans give enough breathability to look good and feel good.
I love the style of these jeans and always feel super comfortable when I’m in the ‘mom’ style jeans that MissGuided do. I recommend these jeans for a daytime coffee meet up, a daytime date, or just a shopping day around town.
For something a little safer and a little bit more versatile in terms of denims, you can’t go wrong with these black tube jeans from Boohoo.
The slimming black jeans really compliment a curvaceous silhouette and you can’t go wrong with this simple classic. Shop these here with 10% off now.
As for the top…
I really like the versatility of this button up top. From Pink Clove’s ‘trend led, curve flattering’ collection, this top can be worn untucked for a dressed down casual look, buttoned up for a collared blouse style offering, or worn open over a vest. I think the heart print is just subtle enough so that it isn’t overpowering, but it still adds a lovely bit of feminine flair. What do you think?
Full midi wrap
While I was having a browse of Pink Clove’s website, I spotted this midi dress and immediately popped it in the basket. I was just really drawn to the pattern on the dress and thought that the wrap front would be really nice for the summer. At first I hadn’t even noticed the tassle sleeves when I first saw it on the site but I think they really add to the whole look of the dress.
I really like the little angled cut of the hem. I think I’ll end up wearing this out for a few drinks with the girls or a meal out, but I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it.
This mustard maxi skirt just screams summer to me. I like that it’s a little bit colourful and almost like a sarong style.
Cover those shoulders
Sometimes the summer sun can be too much (or am I being too hopeful for this summer?) and you need to cover up a little bit to avoid burning. This is especially important if you have a fair complexion, so check out this kimono style shawl.
The best thing about this is that it can be worn off the shoulder for a really casual look, or worn as a super casual coat.
