Here at Ashleigh Money Saver believe in celebrating important days, and today is a significant one: International Women's Day!

International Women’s Day is a globally recognised day where we are all encouraged to acknowledge the achievements, passions, and strength of women, not only throughout history but also the women around us, who impact our day-to-day lives for the better.

We have been observing this day for over a century now, and it reminds us of the progress we've made towards gender equality and the distance we still have to cover. We should all take the time to recognize and empower women's courage, resilience, and limitless potential everywhere.

Recognising our unquestioning cheerleaders

For this day to land only a few days before Mother’s Day, a day where we celebrate the hard-working mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers, and step-in mothers, makes the day even more special. After all, they are the women who shaped us into who we are today, inspiring us to chase our dreams, and reminding us that we are capable of anything.

The unsung heroes

International Women’s Day is also about shouting out those unsung heroes in our lives. The women who have impacted us directly and indirectly, simply by being selfless and actively working to make the world a better place. We are talking about the teachers who shaped us, the nurses who have healed us, the activists who fight for us, and the artists who inspire us.

Take some me time

While it is so important to recognise others, International Women’s Day is also about celebrating yourself, too. Take some time to recognise your own achievements, no matter how small they might seem because, let’s be real, tackling the washing pile you have avoided all week can seem like a much bigger achievement than anything else. Whether we're rocking our careers, pursuing our passions, or simply navigating those daily challenges that seem impossible, each of us has a story worth celebrating. Don't forget to shine a light on yourself!
